The SPT Dark Knight captures heat from the surrounding air. It begins by converting the refrigerant from a liquid to a gas. This gas is then compressed, which raises its temperature. The heated refrigerant passes through a coil inside the water tank, transferring its warmth to the water.

As a result, energy consumption can be reduced by up to 80% compared to traditional electric hot water systems and by up to 40% compared to gas tank hot water systems.

The SPT heat pump hot water system can last up to 25 years, provided it receives regular maintenance. It is recommended to have a standard service every 2-3 years to inspect the tank, compressor, anode, and other components. Proper care and maintenance will help ensure its longevity and optimal performance.

The SPT heat pump hot water system typically takes between 3 to 6 hours to heat up from cold. Once heated, the water in the tank will remain at a temperature of 55 degrees Celsius for use. This initial heating period is standard for heat pumps, especially when first installed.

The SPT heat pump hot water system is quite energy-efficient, saving up to 80% of the electricity compared to a standard conventional electric storage tank. On average, it uses between 2 to 5 kWh per day. However, this can vary based on factors like climate, outside temperature and user habits. and how much hot water is being used.

The SPT heat pump hot water system is set to a default temperature of 55 degrees Celsius, but you can easily adjust it to a higher level if you wish. It also has an automatic self-cleaning feature that increases the temperature to 70 degrees every 7 to 10 days for an hour, ensuring the hot water in the tank is disinfected and safe.
